Wobble Words 2.0.5 update
May 21, 2010 2 Comments
Wobble Words’ latest update improves word drawing lag issues reported by users since webOS 1.4. So unless you’ve got a bunch of apps in the background stealing precious CPU cycles, you should see much less “hiccups” when drawing words. ![]()
Also, some users have reported the app icon vanished when they updated (starting with 2.0.3). This is a glitch with webOS, Palm is aware of it. Meantime, to get your shiny new Wobble Words app icon back, just restart your device and voila!
love the wobble word game, but i hate the drag to select feature, frustrating, when is the tap to select feature going to be in place, tapping input would be so much easier
also it would be nice if you can play other palm pre users online in real time to compete.
Hey thanks for the comments!
Tap to select is something I’ve been working on, but it’s gone lower on the priority list for a release (mostly because I haven’t heard any user requests for it in a long while). It will definitely be in for the 2.1.0 release, but probably not in the bug fix release next week. Thanks for bubbling that feature back up on my to-do list.
Playing online is something that requires a hosted server, which cuts into monthly revenue from the app. I’m looking into peer-to-peer solutions, but they will require Palm to open up hybrid PDK apps to be released in the catalog. Rest assured though, this is something I want in there, too.
